A beautiful building with a fairly extensive collection of modern South American art. You'll find works by Frida Kahlo, Diego Riveira, and Botero, of course, but the work I'll remember most is Calavera No. 5, created by the Argentinian art collective Mondongo. After your visit, you can also enjoy the bistro right next to the museum. If you enjoy modern art, I think the Museo de Arte Moderno in San Telmo is slightly better, as it offers a wider variety of artworks and artists.

Loved it! Quite an experience. For a visitor from Athens, Greece the feeling of similarities and differences of the art were obvious but welcome. The place was as a modern museum with its café, shop and activities should and I will definitely revisit before returning home!

So glad we stopped by. Some really thought provoking work from artists across Latin America. Brilliant textile exhibition on, and the permanent collection is varied. Easy to buy a ticket (10K for foreigners) online, accessible with lifts and escalators, bathrooms, a decent gift shop. Nice spaces, and lots of translations in English. Good for an hour or two - you don’t need a whole day here.

Not free, but good value. Very interesting collection upstairs. Awesome video as part of the special exposition when I visited. The main information panels are in both Spanish and English, which was greatly appreciated. The main or lower level contains an awesome collection of Latin American Art. Not just Argentina, Mexico, Uruguay, Brasil, were well covered. Including many famous artists from these countries. If you're a Freda K fan, there's a couple of nice ones. Overall, highly recommended. Well done BA !!

Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires has a strong collection of Latin American art and is well worth a visit. The exhibitions are thoughtfully curated, and you can see works from major artists including Frida. The museum is modern, well organized, and easy to explore in a few hours. A great cultural stop in the city.
